A very interesting case. I had heard of women escaping the attrocities iflicted upon them by their husbands but now a man escapes bcz his wife purportedly is not beautiful enough. I don’t agree with it i rather would suppose a family greivance must be the motivating factor for Batuk to do so.

Looking at it in a more personal way, I’d say that the move is a reaction to the helplessness one has in deciding over his own life partner. However, stillbirth may also be the covert motive as couples do suffer depression after a stillbirth of their child, especilly when it is the first born and also a male child (in our society).

Again, a male dominating society. A man can leave the house to show his dissatisfaction against the wife whereas in case a woman says anything against the husband, she is considered to be characterless. I wonder if men will ever change...
