The U.S. never CREATED the Taliban. They existed long before the U.S. got involved with Afghanistan. Yeah, the U.S. help FUND the Taliban against the Russians back in the early 1980’s - FORTY YEARS AGO. The U.S. hasn’t funded it since. What the Taliban does today is led and funded elsewhere.

The Obama administration has got to stop whining about the unfair world and actually take responsibility for doing something.

Of course, the US is responsible for everything that happens around the world because we are the oNLY nation willing to HELP every nation in the world. Obviously that libel’s the US for the rest of eternity. No nation ever has to resume responsibility for itself after we provide aid for what ever reason.

This could have been averted if we had supported the pro-democracy movement in Pakistan, rather than playing footsie with Musharraf. Now everything’s gone to hell, and we face the very real prospect of the Taliban getting control of nuclear weapons. Clinton is right, and we can’t just stand by and let that happen.
