Muslim Khan, the spokesman for the Taliban Movement in Swat, has been arrested along with the local Taliban commander Mehmood Khan by the security forces. Three other terrorists were also arrested during the same operation and all the arrestees have been taken to an undisclosed place for investigation, as reported by the military sources.

The government had announced a bounty of 10 million rupees for getting Muslim Khan/Mehmood Khan, dead or alive. The security forces, in collaboration with military commandos, arrested the Taliban on Friday morning, after receiving tracking information from intelligence sources. Regarding the arrests a big success, a military spokesman was reported as pointing to the fact that the army is not engaged in any kind of negotiations with the terrorists.

News sources have also reported the general feeling of relief and joy among the native population over the arrest news of Muslim Khan and Mehmood Khan. People were said to have kept asking one other about the veracity of the news and upon the publication of the photos of the terrorists in media, they exhibited great joy.
