Bollywood’s famous actress Dimple Kapadia’s younger sister Simple Kapadia has died at age 50. Simple died in a hospital in Mumbai as she lost her three-year long battle against cancer. Simple’s had been living with Dimple and her death has thrown the whole family in great distress.

Simple started her Bollywood career as an actress in the 70s and acted in a small number of movies but did not win enough recognition to be regarded as a successful actress. She switched to costume designing and did well in this field. Her costumes in the movie Shaheed won much acclaim.

Simple’s illness had been an agony for Dimple and her family and they really didn’t talk of it. Bollywood stars and directors are grieving Simple’s death at an early age and her contributions to the film industry will certainly be remembered in appreciable terms.
