India is involved in the militancy in South Waziristan and the government has found concrete proof of this fact, said the Information Minister Qamar Zaman Kaira and General Athar Abbas, Director Inter Services Public Relations (ISPR) on Monday, November 2, 2009. Kaira says Pakistan will take the issue to discuss with New Delhi while aiming at peaceful resolution of conflicts between the two nations.
According to General Abbas, large amounts of Indian-made weapons, medical equipment, and medicines have been recovered from Sherawangi in South Waziristan where a military operation against militants is underway. An official file containing the details of proofs of Indian involvement in the said are will be sent soon to Indian officials in New Delhi.
As the operation continues, the security forces have gained control of a number of Taliban strongholds including Kaniguram, the key hideout of Uzbek militants involved in terrorist violence in Pakistan. According to General Abbas, terrorists are being beaten on all fronts.
