Pakistan’s Ex-President Pervez Musharraf sounds undeterred by the buzz of his trail for high treason in Pakistan’s judiciary. Regarding the Supreme Court’s verdict of his emergency imposition in the country in November 2007, Mr. Musharraf has told media that his lawyers are reviewing the details of the case and he was ready to defend himself in Pakistani courts against all charges brought up against him.
Speaking about Musharraf, former chairman Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) Dr. Nasim Ashraf told media that Musharraf meant to defend himself in Pakistani courts in case he was tried for the charges of violating the constitution. Mr. Nasim denied President Zardari meeting Musharraf in the US and added that Musharraf had been welcomed by the US lawmakers during his recent visit to the US. Not only this but also that Musharraf advised US leaders against interfering in Pakistan’s internal affairs. This makes Musharraf still very much in Pakistan’s political affairs long after being out of power.
