In yet another deadly suicide bombing attack, made by a young member of Tehrike-e-Taliban Pakistan, well-known religious scholar Dr. Sarfaraz Hussain Naeemi was killed along with five other people at the Jamia Naeemia (Lahore). In a second incident, taking place in Nowshehra (NWFP), a mosque was targeted by a suicide bomber, killing five persons and leaving over a hundred others injured.
Mufti S. H. Naeemi was killed as a 17-year-old suicide guy showed up at his office, after the Friday congregational prayer at around 2:40 pm, and blew himself up. The explosion rocked the building and people rushed to Mufti Naeemi’s office, finding him covered in blood with multiple wounds along with ten others lying wounded. They were all rushed to different hospitals where Mufti Naeemi and five other victims succumbed to their injuries. 
Mufti Naeemi is said to have been an ardent supporter of sectarian unity and had been calling Pakistani Muslims to unite against Taliban. News sources reveal that Mufti Naeemi had been receiving several threats lately over phone but no security measures were taken to protect his life and that of others working at his office.
In a second incident, a mosque in the contentment area of Nowshehra (NWFP) was targeted by a suicide attacker during the Friday prayer. The attacker rammed an explosive-laden van into the mosque, killing five persons and injuring at least 105 others, most of them army personnel. The chassis number of vehicle, used for making the explosion, has reportedly been recovered along with the body parts of the suicide bomber. The explosion was so loud that it was heard throughout the city and beyond.
