The Baluchistan High Court (BHC) has issued a notice to the Defense Ministry to direct the Inter-Services Intelligence (ISI) and Military Intelligence (MI) to cooperate with Turbat police in investigating the murder of three Baloch nationalist leaders earlier this year. The two-member bench of BHC also ordered the Defense Ministry to submit its comments in detail within a week.

The concerned BHC bench consists of Chief Justice Qazi Faez Essa and Justice Ghluam Mustafa Mengal and it was hearing the statement of Kech District police Officer (DOP) Abdul Rauf Barech. The DPO told the court that the police investigation was hampered due to lack of cooperation by the ISI and MI. The court, in its orders, has mentioned that If ISI and MI fail to cooperate with the police, cases can be registered by the police against intelligence officers who are failing to provide the required information.
The police have been directed to arrange an identification parade and they may require some intelligence personnel to join the parade for identification purpose. Seven eye-witnesses of the abduction of the murdered leaders will be allowed to identify among the suspects.
